Dove came home from Drama Club really upset. It turns out she had a performance today and none of us showed up.
I feel terrible. I was competing in a Master Western Pleasure competition at the time and totally forgot about her performance. To make maters worse Dash and I didn’t even place.
Dylan and I tried to make it up to her by helping with her school project.
Dove reached creativity level 7.
And created an excellent project.
With Dove in school all day Dylan and I have a pretty set routine. Most of our day is focused on taking care of all the animals.
The fact that we are home alone makes it really easy to get in some afternoon woohoo.
I have been very focused on training Dash. He is now at agility level 7 and I maxed the horse riding skill.
We have also been practicing jumping.
My second attempt at the Western Pleasure Master competition resulted in a Gold Medal while I brought home a silver in the Master Barrel Racing Competition.
We recently had a near disaster when Darwin ran away for the day. Fortunately, he came home but it reminded us that we all need to make time for him throughout the day. I have been teaching him how to do tricks like speak and shake.
Dove has been giving him loads of hugs and snuggles.
Dylan has been taking him for morning jogs and giving him baths in our new outdoor pet bath area.
Darwin loves to get dirty so he gets lots of baths.
One afternoon my cousin Ainsley stopped by for a visit. She is now an elder.
Ainsley’s cat Miss Kitty recently gave birth to a kitten. Miss Kitty was the daughter of Lisa’s cat Kitty and my former cat Dillon. Miss Kitty and her sister Coco were Devon’s younger sister’s from a different litter. At the time they were born we didn’t have room for another cat so Ainsley took Miss Kitty and my brother Charles has Coco. Ainsley wanted to know if I wanted Duchess and I happily said yes as I have missed having a cat around the house.
I figured a cat with the name Duchess needed an epic pet room. So I turned the old nursery into a room for Duchess and Darwin. She looks so tiny in that big pet bed.
Dove loves playing laser pointer with Duchess.
Speaking of Dove she is doing great in school and recently brought home an A in all of her subjects.
Dove loves helping out with the animals and was really excited when we finally got some baby chicks. She also loves treating the horses to apples and carrots.
She spends hours at night rehearsing her lines for Drama Club. You might notice from her reflection in the mirror that she also lost another tooth.
Despite all of her practicing she did recently forget one of her lines in the middle of a scene. She improvised and was so convincing it looked like she went off-script on purpose.
Dove frequently has friends over after school and loves putting on puppet shows. Her dad often stops working to watch the performances.
One afternoon, I decided to take a trip to Henford-on-Bagley to visit Dane. It was great seeing him.
June is in her third trimester and due any day now.
For some reason she decided to tell me that they conceived the baby in a rocket ship during GeekCon. Just what every mother wants to know about her son.
Dash and I entered another Master level Barrel Racing competition and once again brought home the silver. Hopefully we can get a gold soon.
We recently had some big birthdays in the family. First of all my grandson Colton is now a toddler. He is so cute. Then my niece Ada’s daughter Emma became a teenager. She is in Drama Club with Dove and they are good friends. Finally my sister Caroline’s kids aged into young adults.
Then June gave birth to a baby boy named Dorado. It also looks like Colton will have a baby brother or sister soon as Cassidy and Drake are expecting.
Today is a really big day as the Garden Fair is in Henford-on-Bagley. I started the day by making french toast for everyone.
Then I used some perfect apples from my apple tree to create an excellent apple pie.
It was still early so I fed Dash and got him groomed. He reached temperament level 8.
Unfortunately we did not place in the master show jumping competition.
While I was busy with the animals, Dylan and Dove played some chess and sang karaoke. Drake and Dane never really knew their fathers so I am glad that Dove is close to hers.
Then it was time to head to the fair in Henford-on-Bagley. I took a selfie with the sign as I am hoping this will be my last trip to the fair.
I also posed for a selfie with my excellent pie and snapdragon.
Dove was so cute complementing my pie and telling everyone I made it with love. The other entries were not getting very many compliments so it had me feeling very hopeful.
I spent some time chatting with the mayor. I didn’t bribe him though this time around.
Dove’s friend Ezra from Drama Club was also at the fair. They spent time chatting and cloud gazing.
She also went fishing, reached level 5 in the mental skill, and completed her aspiration. She is going to start on Creative Prodigy but might not finish before her birthday.
The mayor/judge was really taking a lot of notes about my pie. Will I finally win this competition??
Sadly my pie didn’t win anything but my Snapdragon did win first place. Here are all of my first place fair ribbons on display.
After the fair we took a trip to the Romance Festival in San Myshuno for a double wedding. Dane and June got married first followed by Drake and Cassidy.
When we returned to Chestnut Ridge we found the entire ranch covered in snow. It looked so pretty.
Duchess also aged up into a full grown cat.
I really need to start remembering to put on my winter gear before going outside to tend to the animals so I don’t freeze.
We still need one more MySim Trophy to complete the collection, so when the flea market came to San Myshuno I decided to attend. Lisa and Cassidy joined me and we had a great time catching up and giving Cassidy parenting tips.
Unfortunately no one was selling MySim Trophies. The only vendor there had frogs for sale and I already completed that collection.
Dove was excited to get an autograph from this 4 star celebrity that was playing guitar at the festival.
It turns out the vendor selling frogs was my niece Amaya. Her mom was my older sister Charlotte. I was really surprised to see Amaya selling frogs at the festival because she followed in her mother’s footsteps and is an actress in Del Sol Valley. She also refused to give Dove an autograph. How rude. I shouldn’t be surprised though as her mom once gave my vet clinic 2 stars.
After the festival I entered a master level barrel race with Dash and we brought home the gold.
Time flies and my grandson Dorado is already an infant. I took a trip to Henford-on-Bagley to meet him. He looks so much like Dane did at that age.
While there I fed Dorado a bottle, did some tummy time, and played peak-a-boo.
When I got home I spotted Cassidy walking by clearly needing to pee. Unfortunately she didn’t make it and had a bladder failure before going into labor. I told her not to worry about Colton. I would watch him while she went to the hospital.
When I got to their house I was greeted by their cat Blue and dog Dakota.
I brought Duchess along to play with Blue while I hung out with Colton. We worked on potty training.
Cassidy gave birth to a baby girl named Clare. I think it is really cute that they have Cassidy, Colton, and Clare.
I guess Duchess and Blue did a little more then play because Duchess is expecting kittens.
Both Duchess and Darwin love eating the chicken feed. I have been trying to teach them to stop doing that.
While Darwin has not learned to stop eating the chicken feed he did lean how to roll over.
I had Dylan take some great photos of me with both Duchess and Darwin to hang on the wall in my bedroom with all my past pet photos.
Duchess gave birth to a male kitten. I let Dove name him and she decided to call him Extra. I asked her why she chose that name and she said it was after the “extras in a movie or play”.
Dash and I have been very focused on his training.
We finally brought home Gold in the master Show Jumping Competition.
Which means we have gold medals in beginner, intermediate, expert, and master level in all four types of equestrian competitions. All that is left is the Ultimate Championship which only takes place on Saturdays.
Dove is busy working on her Creative Prodigy aspiration.
She also gained some fame for creating a nice set but I heard she may have stolen some supplies. I need to have a talk with her about that.
But that can wait as today is Winterfest. Dove helped me decorate the tree.
Poor Darwin aged into an elder. I don’t like my pets getting old.
I made a grand feast.
And invited loads of family and friends. Several guests brought dishes to share.
Dove put on a puppet show for several of the guests.
Before blowing out her birthday candles.
I think she is a stunning teenager. She added the self-absorbed trait and has the admired icon teen aspiration.
Dove got a really cute selfie with Emma.
She also got a birthday/winterfest gift from Father Winter.
For her birthday I let her take over what was the boys side of the house. Drake’s old bedroom was redecorated into a bedroom for Dove while Dane’s old room became a music/filming studio.
Dove got right to work rehearsing her lines for Drama Club. She quickly reached level 3 in the acting skill.
Sadly we got some terrible news shortly after Winterfest. My cousin and best friend Lisa passed away followed shortly by her husband Gordon. I can’t believe they are gone.
We also got some happy news as my son Dane and daughter-in-law June are expecting their second child. I was also shocked to learn that Lisa’s son Lukas is having a baby with Brooklynn. If you recall Brooklynn is Colton’s biological mother but she didn’t want children and gave Drake full custody. Lukas also has the “hates children” trait. So I admit I am a little worried about their future child. Too bad Lisa won’t be around to meet her first grandchild.
Dylan previously took photos of me with Darwin and Duchess so I asked him to take some of me with all the other animals. I think they all turned out great.
Dash and I went for an intense run and he reached level 10 in Endurance. He also has level 10 in temperament and is at level 8 I think in both agility and show jumping.
On Saturday I decided to enter the Ultimate Horse Championship. I figured it was long shot because Dash still needed to reach level 10 in a few skills.
So I was shocked when we won the gold medal. This means I completed the Champion Rider aspiration.
Here are all of my trophies and ribbons on display next to photos of the animals and/or crops that won. During my time as heir I graduated with a degree in Biology; completed three aspirations (Friends of the Animals, Country Caretaker, and Champion Rider); raised three children and numerous pets; owned a 4.5 star vet clinic; maxed several skills including horseback riding, pet training, and veterinarian; and completed three collections (feathers, frogs, and fair ribbons). It is now time to turn the “reigns” (pun intended) over to Dove.
Authors note: It bugged me that I didn’t have the ribbon for the pie competition. I really felt like Cat should have won that several times as she made numerous excellent pies. The only reason she didn’t earn one was because the game is glitched. Therefore, I found the ribbon in debug so she could have the entire set.
Also the creator of this legacy updated some of the rules back in March 2023. The updated directions for this generation included completing the insect collection instead of the feather collection but I decided not to do that. I HATE the insect collection. In order to find them you have to pan around Granite Falls and it makes me motion sick. I might try it with a later generation.
