Generation Four: Chapter 01

My name is Catherine Alimento and I am the generation 4 heir of the My Sim Challenge. The sim behind me is my cousin and best friend Lisa Everett. More on her later.

In case you can’t tell, I love animals and the color green. I would love to be a veterinarian some day or have a big ranch with a bunch of different animals.

I currently live in Windenburg with my parents Belinda and Colin, twin half-siblings Charlie and Caroline, and cousin Lisa. Lisa’s dad Blake was my mom’s brother. After he and his husband Scott passed away Lisa came to live with us.

Dad actually died before I was born but was recently brought back to life by a magical book mom wrote about his life. While the twins are not biologically his (mom had a brief relationship after dad died – it’s a long story) he treats them as if they are his own. He is in the process of officially adopting them.

When Lisa moved in with us she brought her dog George. I just adore him.

I have been teaching him various tricks like how to sit.

I am currently at level 2 in the pet training skill.

George is a hunter and thanks to him bringing me feathers I was able to complete the entire collection not once but twice.

I also have a pet rat named Dassie.

I have an older sister named Charlotte. She and her husband Demarcus live in Del Sol Valley.

They have an adorable daughter named Amaya.

But as cute as Amaya is, I prefer to spend time with their dog Molly.

I also have two older brothers Collin and Carter. They are living in my grandparents old home in Windenburg with their wives/girlfriends.

My brother Collin has a daughter named Ada after my grandma.

She is cute but I prefer Carter’s cat Porkchop. We had a cat named Chaucer when I was growing up and I really miss him.

I do have some human friends. This are my childhood best friends, Tamara and Gordon. Their mom Amelia is mom’s best friend and their brother Demarcus is married to my sister Charlotte.

I also have a second cousin (or first cousin once removed) named Ainsley. Her mom, Natalie, is my first cousin.

On my first day of high school, I met Wila Clover (Cat Hat) and Ying Yachi (Bear Hat). I could tell right away that we were meant to be friends.

One afternoon, Lisa and I were putting a puzzle together when she asked,

“Do you like Gordon?”

“Sure,” I said. “He is a great friend.”

“No, do you like him like him?”

“Like romantically? No, I just think of him as a friend.”

“So you wouldn’t be upset if I asked him to prom?”

“No, if you want to ask him to prom go for it.”

A few days later, Lisa asked Gordon to prom and he happily said yes.

They shared their first kiss.

Meanwhile, I have been busy training George. He just learned how to lie down and I reached level 3 in the pet training skill.

We are working on learning how to shake next.

Since dad was technically dead he re-proposed to mom and she said yes.

My niece Ada is aging into a toddler. Mom helped her blow out her candles.

She is cute but a little fussy.

Ada and Amaya are already the best of friends.

During the party, mom got some great photos of my older siblings with their families.

Everyone had a great time dancing.

I spent most of the party playing with Porkchop.

Lisa and Gordon are officially dating now. I guess Tamara and Ying are also dating.

I don’t really care to date anyone. I would much rather spend time with animals like George. He recently aged into an elder dog which makes me sad.

Old dogs can learn new tricks though, as George has learned to shake. I also reached level 4 in the pet training skill.

I have decided that I am Aromatic or “Aro” as experience little to no romantic attraction towards other sims, and have little or no desire to form a romantic relationship with anyone.

Maybe when I am older I might have a “friend with benefits” as I am not apposed to the idea of woohoo. I just don’t want a partner, fiance, spouse, or whatever else a long term relationship could be called.

My sister’s dog Molly is also an elder. We recently went to Del Sol Valley for a visit.

And to celebrate Amaya’s birthday.

She is a cheerful whiz kid.

When we got back, it was time for prom. Lisa enjoyed slow dancing with Gordon. Ying and Tamara also slow danced together. Meanwhile Ainsley and I looked at cat videos on her phone.

Lisa was crowned prom royalty and Gordan prom jester.

We left prom early to attend mom and dad’s wedding at the Romance Festival.

After the wedding mom and dad slow danced with Caroline and Charles.

A few days later dad announced he had an important announcement.

“I was raised in an orphanage and never new my biological parents. I have been researching my genealogy and registered with a DNA testing site. Well I just found out that I have a half-sister that lives in Henford-on-Bagley. We have spoken a few times and she has invited us out for a visit. She lives on a farm with chickens and llamas. She also mentioned there are wild rabbits, foxes, and birds all over the property.”

I think that sounds so amazing and can’t wait to visit Henford-on-Bagley. I am so excited.

I don’t really have any rolls planned for this chapter so I figured I would get this out of the way.
